Born and raised in Bentonville, Arkansas—about as far from New York City as you can get—Alex Andrews grew up immersed in theater from the very beginning. With parents who ran a children’s theatre company, the stage wasn’t an extracurricular; it was home. Homeschooled and surrounded by storytelling, music, and performance, Alex’s artistic foundation was built through hands-on experience rather than a traditional conservatory path.

Rather than studying at a prestigious musical theatre college, Alex chose to stay rooted in community and craft—working consistently with local theatre companies since graduating high school and building a career through real-world performance. She is a well-rounded musical theatre actress with extensive experience in singing, dancing, and acting across a wide range of productions.

Notable stage credits include Sam in The Mad Oneswith Northwest Arkansas College, Bonnie in Come From Away with Arkansas Public Theatre, as well as Arista in The Little Mermaid with Perry Ryan Theater Company. Alex was also one of just twelve local singers selected to perform in Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway at the Walton Arts Center.

In addition to her stage work, Alex brings a diverse performance background. She has over five years of experience performing as a vocalist in a local touring band and spent three years working professionally as a party princess—developing strong improvisation skills, audience connection, and character work for all ages.

Alex is passionate about telling honest, joyful stories and proving that meaningful theatre careers can grow far beyond traditional industry paths.
